Furano and 縁EN access

BY PLANE

Did you know that the closest airport to Furano is Asahikawa? Flights arriving into Asahikawa Airport are available from Haneda and Narita airports. Furano and 縁EN are then an easy 50 mins drive or there is an Asahikawa Line Furano bus from Asahikawa Airport to Furano.

New Chitose Airport has both domestic and international flights. Furano and 縁EN is a 2 hour car ride or buses are available from New Chitose Airport to Furano Station. Bus options include:

Hokkaido Bus that runs all year round
Hokkaido Resort Liner runs only in the winter months from Dec to Mar

BY TRAIN

Train access to JR Furano Station is available from Asahikawa, Sapporo and New Chitose Airport. Although the trains are not frequent, we do enjoy the scenic views along the ride.

JR Furano Station is 5 mins car ride from 縁EN.

BY BUS

In addition to the airport buses listed above, the Chuo Bus runs multiple buses daily on the Sapporo-Furano route.

BY TAXI

There are 2 main taxi operators in Furano - Chuo Hire and Furano Taxi. Both taxi companies are also available for hire on the Uber and Didi International apps.

Directions from Route 237 traveling south from Biei or Asahikawa:

Traveling south on 237 just after you cross the Furano River turn left at the lights.
An Eneos petrol station will then be on your right.
Take the second left turn.
Go straight, cross the bridge for the Beberui River and then take the first street on the left.
Go straight and cross the bridge at the end of the street. You can see 縁EN on the left after the bridge.

Directions from Route 237 traveling north from Furano Town Center or Minami Furano or New Chitose:

Traveling north on 237 through town center just after you cross the rail lines turn first right at the lights
An Eneos petrol station will then be on your right.
Take the second left turn at Furano Bijou dessert shop.
Go straight, cross the bridge for the Beberui River and then take the first street on the left.
Go straight and cross the bridge at the end of the street. You can see 縁EN on the left after the bridge.
